whats the pedal board your using now?

I just got a Line 6 Pod X3 Live last week. I like it thus far but one of the main reasons I got it was because it had all the amp sim stuff PLUS a ring modulator effect. When I finally got it (UPS lost my package) I opened it up and went straight for the ring modulator and was sad to find that the ring modulator only has one editable parameter: the mix. Overall the POD X3 LIve sounds pretty good and there is a lot you can do with it but there is an overall lack of parameters per effect and as far as I can tell you can't route any effect parameters (outside the wah effect) to the expression pedal. It is a shame because it could have been a perfectly useful piece of gear. It looks like I will have to buy other components and use the aux send/return to make it do what I wanted it to do. When will somebody make a perfect FX processor!?!?!?

Hi, I've started listening to Uglyhead when I first heard it on Pandora. I read somewhere that "From Time to Time..." is a live album, and songs like Urp were previously on a different release. For the song 'Corners' (Which I like a lot), was that featured on another release or was it created just for the live album?

Hi,
Yes "From time to time..." is a live album. Urp appears on the EP album. I have this problem where I come up with a ton of material with the intention of making an album and then I freak out and throw it all away and never release anything. There was a studio version of Corners somewhere but it got thrown out a long time ago because the album it was supposed to be on never got finished. We did play it live for quite a while. "From time to time..." ended up having a few of those songs where the proper studio version never got released so the live version is the only recorded version that exists. Sorry about that. I am trying to get better about actually releasing more songs that I work on but I have probably thrown away about 15 already this year. Right now I am actually redoing an album that I wrote a while ago and threw away two years ago. Thanks for the question!

Uglyhead has gone through several band members, but I never see former members get any credit for their influence. Why would you take credit for other people's work? Doesn't that just make you out to be a total fucking wanker prick? Are you a total fucking wanker prick?

I had a list on the old site but I am not even sure who wants their name associated with the project at this point. On any recording involving musicians other than myself proper credit is given in the liner notes of the album. Any songs available in the downloads section of this site only include recordings made by myself where I am literally the only person on the recording. I typically have no problem crediting anyone for any documented piece of music. Musicians that have participated in shows or tours are credited on the website or blogs when that show or tour is happening. If anyone wants credit for something all they have to do is tell me what they want credit for. I am still in contact with most musicians that have been involved with Uglyhead and have never really gotten into any credit disputes. I am definitely not credited in a few projects I have worked on and don't think of the people involved in those projects as "total fucking wanker pricks." Am I a total fucking wanker prick? I probably am to a few people...

FC, Im curious, who exactly do you believe deserves some credit?

I'm not sure of the person's name. It was that really good guitarist.

There are only three guitarists that I can think of that haven't been credited on an album and it is because they have never been recorded on an Uglyhead album:
Skot Warr - played in some live performances around 2003
Dan Miller - played in a few live shows around 2004-ish
Brian Ox - played guitar on the most recent US tour
All of these people were definitely listed on the website when they were actively participating with the project.
Every other guitarist involved with Uglyhead has been credited in the liner notes of the album containing the recording they appeared on:
Eric Pruit - EP
Jenson Charnell - "From time to time...", "Outward"
Scott Brovan - "Outward" "Notes from thee underground comp"
Jeremiah Smith - "From time to time...", "Outward"
I would consider all of them really good at what they do.

ask all uglyhead related questions here. I will do my best to answer everything. Please do not start entirely new threads outside this post for new questions.
